The farm has a history that stretches back to the period when European settlers first arrived in South Africa. With colonisation the first Huguenot arrived in a small group in 1688 and was given land nearby the Drakenstein Mountains. Positioned in the spectacular Drakenstein Mountains near Paarl, Augusta Kleinbosch Country Lodge is in the heart of the world-famous Cape wine lands. With its three historical buildings, the farm is surrounded by wine and guava orchards, inviting the adventurous guest to enjoy delightful walks while identifying the many species of indigenous bird life on the property. Mango trees surround the swimming pool, enhancing the ambience and charm of the setting.
