The Arches is located in the beautiful mining town of Welkom, offering single and double rooms as well as self-catering units.
The Arches is situated on the main road to Bloemfontein, close to the surrounding Harmony gold mines and water pans featuring flamingos and many other birds, making it ideal for bird-watchers. We are registered with Birdlife SA as Birder Friendly Establishment.
Breakfast is included in our single & double rooms and can be arranged for our self-catering rooms at an additional charge of R30.00. Lunch/lunch packs and dinner are available on request.
Laundry Service available.
Our double self-catering unit is wheel-chair friendly.
Rooms
Green Room:
Queen bed (or two singles, if requested)on Bed & Breakfast basis. In main house with shared facilities. Lunch/lunch packs and dinner are available on request. Tea/coffee tray in room. Use of guest lounge with TV.
Self catering Unit 1:
Normally 2 single beds. Can take up to 3 beds in main bedroom. En-suite bathroom with shower. Wheelchair accessible. Baby cot available. Fully equipped kitchen has hotplate and microwave, crockery and cutlery for 2. Breakfast on request.
Self catering Unit 2:
Normally 1 single bed. Can take up to 2 beds in main bedroom. En-suite bathroom with bath & shower. Baby cot available. Fully equipped kitchen has hotplate and microwave, crockery and cutlery for 1. Heater in room. Breakfast on request.
Blue Room:
Single Bed in main house with shared facilities. On bed & breakfast basis. Lunch/lunch packs and dinner on request. Tea/coffee tray in room. Use of guest lounge with TV.
